Project Brief Summary:
The Site
• Location: NTPC Badarpur Thermal Power Station (BTPS) ash disposal area, 895 acres.
• Proposal: Develop an Eco-Park on approximately 580 acres.

Vision:
o Convert industrial wasteland into a major recreational hub for both locals and visitors.
o Serve as an intermediate green zone, promoting nature appreciation and environmental learning by enhancing the usability of the space.
o Green vegetation to combat pollution and regulate temperature.

Proposed Facilities:
o Ecological enhancement: preserve species diversity and natural processes.
o Develop wetlands/lakes, restore vegetation, and design large jungles.
o Recreational features: picnic areas, playgrounds, sports zones, walking/cycling paths, lakes for boating, fishing, waterfalls, fountains, golf course.
o Educational natural environments: woodlands, botanical gardens, green shelters, watch towers.
o Conservation of natural ecosystems, water and land resources protection.
