Campus landscape planning follows urban planning principles such as vista, sky line, viewpoints, paths, periphery and landmarks. Incorporating these principles, we can create an aesthetic, functional, economical and sustainable campus.
Plan for growth and change in an environmentally responsible manner.
Integrate present and future needs and build into the existing infrastructure sensitively.
Promote a pedestrian friendly campus.
Maintain the green character of the campus.
Maintain the identity of the campus to promote a sense of community.

A well-designed campus environment contributes to the learning, working and social experiences for the students by creating a positive work environment. Landscape is the fabric that ties the campus together. An interconnected hierarchy of green spaces at varying scales begins at the entrance and continues along the roads and rotaries, parking areas. It also enlivens the open spaces in between the building blocks. Well-appointed street amenities such as bus shelters, lighting and street furniture make the campus user-friendly. The aim is to design a safe and pedestrian-friendly campus that passes through a green corridor providing shade and direct connections between places. Develop human-scaled spaces that facilitate both formal and informal interactions. Building courtyards become interactive areas and informal work spaces with the help of landscape intervention.
